CE

Conformité Européenne — the European regulatory mark for electrical and pressure equipment.

Category: Certifications, Safety & Standards

Conformité Européenne — the European regulatory mark indicating that a product meets EU safety, health, and environmental requirements. Almost all Italian and European coffee equipment carries CE.

Why it matters — CE marking is required for the product to be sold in Europe, but on its own it isn't enough for Australian import. Imported equipment also needs Australian compliance (RCM for electrical, WaterMark for plumbed components).

Good to know

  • A CE mark on its own is not a guarantee of Australian compliance — check separately.
  • Some manufacturers print CE on the body; others on the rating plate. Look for it before you ask your local technician to service.
