Knock tube

A tall cylindrical version of a knock box, often used on bar tops where width is limited.

Category: Accessories & Barista Tools

A tall cylindrical knock box, designed to fit on bar tops where width is limited. The internal knock bar runs vertically across the top of the tube, and used pucks fall straight down into the cylinder.

Why it matters — Bar layouts are usually long and narrow. A standard square knock box eats counter space; a knock tube takes the same volume but in a footprint the size of a coffee cup.

Good to know

  • Empty daily — wet pucks compost fast and start to smell.
  • The internal bar takes the impact, not the rim — knock straight down, not at an angle.
