Portafilter stand

A small cradle, hook, or holder that keeps the portafilter upright and level during dosing — usually mounted on the bench or attached to the grinder.

Why it matters — Holding the portafilter in one hand while dosing with the other is slow and inconsistent. A stand frees both hands so you can weigh, level, and stir without the basket tipping.

• Most useful in single-dose workflows with a dosing funnel.
• Choose one matched to your portafilter spec — 58 mm commercial portafilters need a wider cradle than 53 mm domestic ones.
