RCM / C-Tick
The Regulatory Compliance Mark — Australia and New Zealand's electrical safety and EMC certification, previously called C-Tick.
Category: Certifications, Safety & Standards
The Regulatory Compliance Mark — Australia and New Zealand's combined electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility certification. RCM replaced the older C-Tick mark in 2013.
Why it matters — Every electrical product sold in Australia must carry RCM. For coffee equipment, this is the seller's responsibility — the importer or the retailer must hold compliance records.
Good to know
- An RCM mark looks like a stylised triangle with a tick — found on the rating plate.
- If you're buying a grey-market or directly imported machine, ask whether it has RCM. Without it, the product is technically not compliant for sale in Australia.
