Why it matters — SCA certifications are the closest thing to an internationally recognised barista qualification. They demonstrate a baseline of skill that's portable between cafés and countries.

Good to know

  • Foundation modules typically take a day each; Intermediate and Professional levels require longer practical training.
  • ASCA delivers SCA-accredited courses in Australia — your local roastery may also be an authorised training campus.
