Wand & Tip

The pipe and removable tip nozzle that delivers steam to the milk jug — tip hole count and size define how the wand handles different volumes.

Category: Steam & Hot Water

The complete steam delivery assembly — the wand itself (the tube from the boiler) and the tip (the nozzle at the end). Often discussed as a unit because they work together to deliver steam.

Why it matters — Wand length, articulation, and tip geometry all interact. A short wand with a slow tip works for home; a long wand with a high-flow tip is essential for café service over a busy day.

Good to know

  • Most wands are stainless steel. Cool-touch (insulated) wands stay safe to hold; standard wands reach 130 °C and require care.
  • Tip patterns vary by manufacturer — some machines use proprietary patterns, others use universal sizes. Check before ordering replacement tips.
